Senior Machine Learning Engineer – 12 Month Contract

I've partnered with a leading organisation that is expanding its Data & Analytics Engineering function and is now hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Contract) to support high-impact, business-critical initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ML Engineer to work on modern AI, Machine Learning, and GenAI solutions in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment, with long-term contract potential and competitive daily rates.

Please note: Candidates must be based in Ireland and have full working rights.

Strong daily rate available depending on experience. Initial 12 month contract with likelihood of extension.

The Role

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, build, deployment, and optimisation of scalable machine learning and data science solutions. You’ll work closely with engineering, analytics, and product teams to deliver robust, production-ready systems that directly support business outcomes.

What I'm Looking For

• Strong commercial experience delivering machine learning and data science solutions in enterprise environments
• Expert-level Python and R development skills
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS essential)
• Solid background working in Linux and containerised environments
• Exposure to AI and Generative AI patterns (e.g. RAG architectures)
• Proven experience implementing testing, automation, and quality assurance practices in production systems
• Ability to drive data-led product decisions and influence technical strategy
• Experience improving data quality, performance, scalability, and reliability
• Strong understanding of DataOps, DevSecOps, and modern deployment methodologies
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy best practices
• Comfortable working across the full lifecycle: data modelling, analysis, development, testing, and deployment
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong stakeholder communication skills
